Our UC essay project team members both live in California. When we enter our Senior year, we should focus on preparing materials for college applications. The 8-UC universities should consider our brain. Many Senior students didn't know what's their ascendancy in junior-to-senior summer. Many of them mess up with their evidence and try-hard to put those into different prompts. We will form our applying strategy, and then we need to find out how our advantage is and conduct a list of keywords that could match our 8 UC prompts. Previous team members finished (investigation/analysis) text-mining, which would help me trace some bullet words while considering them as team-average superiority. Nevertheless, the Text-mining keywords list cannot show us the extents between each keyword. Thus, we are supposed to build a Quality Function Deployment house and add on weights to discover the most powerful keywords and help us to stand out. QFD house contains many benefits that would be flexible and customized to each situation. In the QFD house analysis, the weighted value can conduct a ranking list among 8 UC prompt questions. The team did (AHP table analysis & Chi-Square Homogeneous test), which summarize the data in their ranking-list. In fact, the AHP table utilizes accurate qualities for judgments, and we cannot tell if human emotions are clear enough when they fill in the table. The proven ranking list might not be an accurate solution. Quality Function Deployment analysis could be exploited to form the preference among the questions. After the results, we did the individual Quality Function Deployment and used that compared with our team results. The difference may notice where you can work on in the next eight months, based on Junior students in the spring semester. By choosing the most suitable four questions and writing the essay, we might have more chances to get accepted by UC schools.

In the senior year of High school, lots of students are working on the college application processes. Our project team members are all high school students. We all need to prepare for our college applications. In the college application processes, we need to submit the High School GPA Transcript, ACT/SAT Test Score, College Essay, etc... to match UC admission requirements. The College Board Organization did not hold any ACT/SAT Test during the COVID pandemic. Thus, the College Application Essay became the strongest indicator of the college application procedure. We all know that preparing essay questions is not easy, and also, the last-minute work has less quality. We have to find the best essay writing strategy and use quality tools to discover the most gainful questions. We used the Stratified Sampling method and created two clusters, one cluster was all private high school students, the other was all public high school students. Then choose the same amount of students from each cluster. The advantage of stratified random sampling is a quicker method to take responses. The collected evidence from each of our team members should have some similarities. We hope to find our best strategy for college admission. Hence, we would like to find out the patterns and some keywords among our answers. We used the JMP Text Mining Tools for processing the transforming unstructured text data into meaningful and actionable information. The benefits we use text mining are to collect important information from unstructured survey responses and unlocking hidden information. The selected keywords are the key factors for writing a good essay. In other words, reaching these keywords meaning the right direction they chose. It’s better to achieve the most selected keywords to make themselves stand out.
